# Quebec Éconologis registration is full for the 2026–2027 season
Checked October 30, 2026. New Éconologis registrations for the 2026–2027 season are closed. The authorized provider, Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils, confirms this on its program page. Its service remains described as a free home energy-efficiency assessment, personalized advice and minor improvements for qualifying modest-income households. Expertbâtiment program information

Full registration does not mean cancellation
Quebec says visit capacity has been reached, not that Éconologis has been permanently cancelled. The normal service season runs October 1 to March 31. Households that submitted a form will be contacted in the coming months to confirm eligibility and arrange a visit. No next registration date is specified. Québec current status
If you already registered, keep the confirmation and make a note of any follow-up you receive. If you did not register, do not treat the winter service dates as an invitation to submit a new application. Check the live status before relying on a future appointment.

Household eligibility
Owners and tenants can qualify, regardless of heating fuel. Total before-tax income for all occupants, including children, must not exceed these 2026–2027 limits:
| Occupants | Maximum household income |
|---|---|
| 1 | $59,076 |
| 2 | $83,541 |
| 3 | $102,318 |
| 4 | $118,148 |
| 5 | $132,094 |
| 6 or more | $144,705 |
Participation within the last five years generally disqualifies a household; after moving, the period is three years. Official eligibility rules

What the visit can provide
An advisor discusses energy use for heating, hot water, appliances and lighting. Depending on the needs identified, the visit can include window caulking, door weatherstripping, insulation around electrical outlets on exterior walls, a low-flow showerhead or faucet aerators. These are services and small installations, rather than a cash allowance for a renovation of your choice. Québec program leaflet
Before an appointment, write down which rooms feel draughty, when you notice the discomfort and what you would like to understand about your energy use. This gives the conversation a practical focus. Do not purchase equipment expecting an automatic reimbursement; first establish what the program will actually provide at your home.

How the heat pump pathway fits
The program leaflet also describes checking preliminary eligibility for Hydro-Québec's separate no-cost heat-pump offer. For qualifying households, Hydro-Québec handles the installation. An Éconologis visit should therefore not be read as a guaranteed heat-pump approval. Éconologis leaflet on the Hydro-Québec pathway
Keep the two decisions separate when planning improvements: the household assessment and any later equipment offer. Ask which organization is responsible for the next step, rather than assuming that a private installer can secure a place.

If you already registered, prepare for the follow-up
Keep the registration confirmation where you can find it and note the contact details you supplied. When contacted, ask which organization is arranging the visit and how to verify the appointment through the official program channel. Do not send personal records in response to an unexpected message simply because it refers to energy savings. A registered household can still ask what the next step involves before providing information through the designated process.
Prepare a short comfort record for the advisor: rooms that feel cold, times when drafts are noticeable and questions about heating or hot-water controls. If you rent, write down issues that may need the landlord's involvement rather than asking the advisor to resolve an unrelated major repair. Tell the provider in advance about access or communication needs that could affect the appointment.

If you missed this intake, plan without an assumed visit
Do not buy products on the assumption that the program will reimburse a private purchase. Keep proposed maintenance and optional renovations separate from any future offer of no-cost services. Use our Canadian seasonal maintenance guide to organize inspection priorities, and seek appropriate professional help for urgent safety or building problems. A closed registration window should not delay necessary attention to an active problem.
When checking for a future intake, look for an explicit new registration notice rather than inferring availability from the usual winter service season. Save the page date with your notes. The Chauffez vert archive and National Heat Pump Rebate announcement concern different forms of support and should not be used as evidence that Éconologis has reopened. Keep service availability, household eligibility and any later equipment decision as separate questions.
